Donald Roy Kibbler

  Don passed away, at the age of 87 years, on Monday, July 18, 2016 at home with family by his side.  Don was born in Regina, Saskatchewan on February 06, 1929 and attended Connaught School and Scott Collegiate.  He left high school after grade 11 to enter into the workforce.  He went on to earn his Journeyman Electrician Certificate and in later years started his own business, Don’s Electric Co. Ltd., until he retired at the age of 70.  Don was a man of few words but one look into those steel blue eyes and you knew exactly what he was thinking.  Forever in our hearts, we know he is with his canine buddy Lucky now together going for long walks in the field. Don was predeceased by his father, Reginald John Kibbler and mother Leontine Legrand and only sibling, sister Aline Langevin.  He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 67 years, Betty; daughters Bonnie (Bob) Walker, Dianne (Erwin) Klempner, and Dawn Marie (Rob) Kannenberg; grandsons Don Oxtoby of Houston, TX, Brett Kannenberg (Katie) of Regina; granddaughters Erin (Jaret) Quiring of Airdrie, AB, Heather Klempner of Regina, Sandi Klempner (Derek Gillies) of Regina, Leanne Klempner (Babajide Joseph) of Calgary, AB, Kari (Chris) Isted of Regina; great-grandchildren Payten, Colbie, Gavin, Logan, Aria, Faith and soon to be Baby Gillies. The Family would also like to thank Drs. Oluma, Hansia, and Schonken for their excellent care and to the Palliative care staff. At Don’s request there will be no funeral service.
