Marinus (Martin) Gerrit Willem Luesink

December 1st, 1940 ~ February 26th, 2016

Our beloved Father, Marinus (Martin) Gerrit Willem Luesink, born December 1st, 1940 in Hengelo, Netherlands passed away peacefully at The Regina Pasqua Hospital, Friday, February 26, 2016 with his precious wife; our mother Marjorie and our sister Jo-Ann by his side.  Dad is survived by his wife of 48 years Marjorie, his children: son Allan;  son Stephen and wife Gail, grandchildren Tyler, Cody and Kyla; daughter Jo-Ann and husband Alex Macris, grandchildren Elizabeth, Alison, Johnathan and David; son Bryan, grandchildren Elaina, Lydia and Caitlyn; daughter Karen and husband Bryce Letkeman, grandchildren Lexi and Jason, his siblings: sisters Antje (married to Gerrit Lubbers) and Gerda; brothers Albert and wife Ruth; Jerry and wife Tinie; sister-in-laws Gerritje (married to Bernard) and Jo (married to Hendrik), as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased into glory by his son Michael; parents Albertus and Gerdina, sister Dina and her husband Gerrit Toonk, brothers Bernard and Hendrik, and brother-in-law Gerrit Lubbers.  Martin's love and devotion to his LORD and Savior Jesus Christ was most important in his life which he lived out with great passion.  Dad loved being with people and was always generous in his time given to family and friends, and he was much loved in return.  Though he will be dearly missed, we do not wish him away from his LORD and Savior, and we look ahead with great joy to the day that we will be reunited with him in our LORD Jesus Christ.  Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at 1:30 pm in Living Hope Alliance Church, 3900 East Arcola Ave., Regina, SK.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Maritime Ministries of Hellenic Ministries, PO Box 51103, Ajax, ON L1T 4M4 (www.hellenicministries.org).

Psalm 116.15 - Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. We praise God for Martin's life and testimony, his obvious interest in missions and your support of missions in prayer and finances. Martin was a faithful and generous friend over many years. Marjorie, you and Martin were always hospitable, giving of your time and energy to accommodate us and our family. We have many wonderful memories of Martin. He was a fun loving man who had a great zest for living. I so enjoyed the great memories of singing in a quartet with him. We trust that God will provide comfort and strength for the days and weeks ahead. Our love, Lawrence & Adele Lofgren

Dear Marjorie and family, So sorry to hear of your loss. It has been many years since I had the privilege of hearing Martin sing a duet with Marjorie at the Ormiston Baptist church.
