Alvin Wiesner

Alvin Wiesner, late of Regina and formerly of Fillmore, SK passed away on Friday, August 26, 2016 at the age of 84 years.

Alvin was predeceased by his parents Otto and Amelia (Krebs); son Marvin; brothers and sisters Karl, Reinhardt, Elnora Kuntz, Mary Metcalfe, Anne Fisher, and Beth Wiesner; brother-in-law Stanley Kotylak.

Alvin is survived by his dear wife of 61 years Mary; daughters Myrna Wiesner (Darren Will), Lorie (Leon) Perrault; grandson Levi Perrault; daughter-in-law Bonnie Wiesner; sister Viola (Rich) Welwood; brother Hubert (Liz) Wiesner;  sister-in-law Cecilia Kotylak; and numerous relatives and friends.

Alvin spent most of his life farming.  Even after retiring, he was farming from his armchair.   He was an early riser during his farming years and a dedicated and hard worker.

Some of Alvin's interests and pleasures in life were traveling and cruising, dancing, watching the Blue Jays, playing cards, and going to coffee row.  He was a history buff but also had a great appreciation for what the next generation had to offer.  His quick wit will be deeply missed.

Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at 10:30 am in Little Flower R.C. Church, 420 College Avenue, Regina, SK.  Interment in Riverside Memorial Park.   Friends so wishing may make a donation, in Alvin's memory, to the charity of your choice.
