Jerome Andrew Bechard

November 29th, 2017

Jerome Andrew Bechard passed away peacefully at the Regina Wascana Grace Hospice on November 29, 2017 at 68 years of age. He faced this last part of his journey with openness, courage, and strength.

Jerome is survived by his loving spouse of 38 years Dorothy Elizabeth Banka; his brother Donald James Bechard; his uncle and aunt Burnett (Red) and Doreen Chalmers; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Jerome Andrew Bechard Sr. and his mother Hazel Jean Chalmers; as well as his sisters Victoria Anne Gould and Melody Rose Read.

Jerome grew up in Ontario hunting and fishing with his father. He continued to enjoy the outdoors after he moved to Saskatchewan, his home for the last 37 years.

Jerome and his family wish to express their extreme gratitude to Dr. Sally Mahood and to the staff at the Regina Qu’Appelle Health Region Treatment Centre and Palliative Care Services for their kindness and caring.

Following Jerome's wishes, there will be no funeral or formal service.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jerome’s memory to cancer research or Palliative Care Services.
