Morley Christian
September 23rd, 2017
With his family by his side, Dad passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 23, 2017.
Predeceased by his parents Arthur and Kathleen Christian, brother Barrie, parent-in-laws John and Catherine Pfleger, and nephew Philip Jose.
Dad is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Dolores; sons Troy (Janice), Edward (Rose); daughters Kelly (Jarvis), Catherine (George); precious grandchildren Joe (Carly), Devon, Tiffany, Tristan, Julianna, and Maddie.
He leaves to mourn his sisters Gail (Mike), Diane (Morris), Karen (Ron); sister in-law Lillian; brother-in-laws Jim (Linda) and Arnold (Brenda); numerous nieces and nephews; many close life-long friends and acquaintances are also left to mourn their dear friend.
Dad started at Simmons Canada Ltd in 1974 and spent the next 25 years not only building business, but building long lasting friendships.
Dad’s greatest loves were his grandchildren – he shared many special memories with them from singing Room Full of Roses to Devon, having Julianna cater to his needs (especially those sweets), telling Joe about how life used to be, Maddie, his little firecracker, who kept Grandpa on his toes. Tiffany, who kept Grandpa updated on her ever-busy list of activities, regardless of who dialed the phone first and Tristan, his little buddy and bus riding partner – those two travelled the city together sharing many special moments.
A special Thank You goes to the many nurses and doctors of the dialysis team at the Regina General Hospital; your support and compassion over the last 5 years have been truly appreciated. To the nurses on 3E - your dedication and your compassionate care for Dad these last few weeks has been truly heart-warming, Thank You.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Regina General Hospital Renal Unit or the CNIB -Regina Branch at 2160 Broad Street, Regina, SK.
Funeral Mass celebrating Dad’s Life will be held on Friday, September 29, 2017 at 10:30 am at St Peter's Roman Catholic Church, 100 Argyle Street, Regina, SK

jq4Our condolences to the family for your loss of a truly genuine good person. I had the sincere pleasure of working with Morley at Simmons Canada for many years and can honestly say he was instrumental in helping make Simmons the leader it was in the marketplace. He earned the respect of his fellow employees and his customers simply by being his hard working, honest self. I will never forget Morley and Glen driving in for our Winnipeg meetings, and one would keep John Main occupied while the other loaded the car with more than what John would have given them....all with the intent of getting Simmons well noticed at all their retailers locations. He will be missed....but never forgotten. May he "Rest in Peace!"
Well for many years I would call Morley...Simmoms Canada he would say..Sweets want do you want? Back then it was Charlie's Angels. However myself and Barb Pasternak where the only Morley's girls. At least that is what he told us!!! A very kind and thoughtful soul. Enjoyed doing business with him. Always put a smile on our faces.. A beautiful service ,loving family around a joy to see.. He will be missed. Glad I was able to attend and see the love surrounding him. My hugs to all and my co worker Barb I am sure would wish the same With sympathy Llizz Whitehead
Dearest Delores, and kids..Please accept our deepest and most sincere condolences on the passing of Morley. You guys have always been like my family away from home, and throughout my many years in the province I always knew I could depend on all, or any of you to be there for me when I needed someone...therefore I am sorry I am not there for you in this time of need. It meant a great deal to me that I got to spend time with Morley while in Regina last year and I am thankful that Troy was able to arrange time for us to all get together. Dear Delores and family: I am so sorry to hear about Morley's passing. I dealt with Morley for many years, at Simmons. He was a great business associate and a true friend, who would do anything in his power for his customers. We did lose contact with one another for a few years, but that phone call from him, three months ago, meant the world to my wife and I. Unfortunately my wife has since passed on as well. Morley truely loved his family, and never failed to mention them. I trust that your memories of Morley will help to see you through this difficult time.
