Kathleen Folk

May 30th, 2017

Kathleen Folk (Howell) passed away peacefully with family at her side on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at the age of 62 years.  Kathie passed away after a nearly 3 year battle with cancer.  She was predeceased by her parents Robert and Margaret Howell.  She is survived by her husband Cliff Folk; her sons Trent (Nicole) and Shane (Jennifer); grandchildren Abigail and MacKenzie; her siblings Maureen (Wayne) Sigmeth, Lorrie (Daryl) Moldovan, and Dan (Erin) Howell; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.  Shortly after their wedding in 1978, Kathie and Cliff moved to Disley.  Kathie was a stay at home mom, daycare operator, administrative assistant for Value Added Seeds and Saskatchewan Abilities Council, before retiring with Cliff to travel as “commercial truck operators” seeing Canada and the USA.  The family would like to thank the staff at Grace Hospice and the Pasqua Hospital for the care they provided for Kathie.  At her request, a short memorial service will be held at the gravesite with close family at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to make a donation to the Grace Hospice.

The world lost one sweet sweet woman today. She left solid footprints here.....worked hard, laughed a lot, and loved much. She touched many lives and was a friend to many. She was a great mother and raised two great guys. We will all miss her.

Kathy you may be gone, but the memories you left behind, will live on, For you we're a kind and gentle soul. We had our little joke about the pink whip, to keep cliff in line, sure had a few laughs over that one lol. My thoughts and prayers go out to ur family, for you will surely missed by all.

I'll miss you, Kathie. You were a wonderful mother-in-law, who raised wonderful boys and loved your husband unconditionally. You took me in as a daughter quickly and were always so interested in what I was up to. I enjoyed all of our chats together over the past 17 years and will miss playing Rummoli and Yatzee with you, which you always seemed to win. Until we meet again, I'll keep you close in my thoughts. Love, Nicole
