Sandie Knudsen

November 27th, 1946 ~ January 23rd, 2017

Sandie Knudsen was predeceased by her parents Betty and Bill McRobbie and brother Jim.

Carrying on her love and lively spirit, Sandie leaves behind her loving husband Ray; daughter Lenita (Clint Norman); sons Erik (Michelle) and Jason (Kristen); grandsons Dustin (Marcella), Daniel, Denzel, William, and Kai; sister Christine Nasea. Sandie’s heart was huge and she also held special places in her heart for her numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, close family friends, and anyone else that she met.

Born and raised in Regina, Sandie married her best friend and love of her life Ray in 1967. Sandie led Ray through 50 years of joyful marriage.  They traveled all over the place, returning many times to their favorites places in Albuquerque and Deadwood.

Sandie and Ray’s three children and their growing families were the center of her world. She loved nothing more than doting on them and filling them up with her never-ending supply of homemade goodness.

Always ready for fun, her loud boisterous laugh could be heard for miles. She was always the brightest spark in every room. While Sandie’s sudden passing is shocking and difficult for those who loved her, they are thankful for her healthy life well-lived.  They will forever be filled with her love and touched by her sparkle.

A Celebration of Sandie’s Life will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the RCMP Heritage Centre, 5907 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK.

Family and friends so wishing can make donations, in Sandie’s name, to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Regina General Hospital https://www.hrf.sk.ca/Donate or the Heart and Stroke Foundation http://www.heartandstroke.ca/.

Ray & family We only just became aware of Sandie's passing and are in a state of shock and disbelief! We are remembering the great times we had together way back in the 70's and 80's. Kids, dogs, CN dances, Regina Beach. Sandie was always so much fun with her cheerful attitude and infectious laugh. She will always be in our thoughts and hearts.

We offer our sincere condolences to Ray and family. We are currently in Penang and were surprised to learn of Sandie. We have known her for over fifty years. Whenever we saw here, she was her jovial self.

Lenita and all of your family. I was just shocked when I saw your Mom's name and smiling face in the paper. I am so deeply sorry. I remember her exuberance so well and how much she enjoyed her family. I remember how she always looked so lovingly at your Dad and when she was on the dance floor at a concert with you and your friends. I send you lots of love and hugs and this very painful time. Please know you are all in my heart and prayers. Leah xo

Our sincerest condolences to Ray and family. We will always have a special place in our hearts for Sandie- always so accepting, loving and caring. She never judged, loved unconditionally, and welcomed us as if we were family. Sandie helped us care for Damien when we were young parents and she loved him like he was her own. For this we will always be thankful. She was truely an angel. Much love.

So very sorry about your Mom, Grandma, Aunt and Sister.! I am still totally shocked. It was so sudden . I know that terrible feeling when you didn't have a chance to say goodbye as my mom passed suddenly in June. My heart breaks for all of you. She will be so very missed. I always enjoyed chatting with her at all the birthday parties over the years. She seemed such a joyful person. I will be thinking of you over the next few weeks. Please if Jim or I can do anything please don't hesitate to ask. Take care!
