Lorraine Joan Matt

August 3rd, 2017

The fish can sleep easy knowing one less fish hook is coming after them.  Lori, age 56 years, passed away in her acreage home near Raymore, SK on August 6, 2017.  She is predeceased by her father Edward Matt. Lori will be lovingly remembered by her Mother Alice; siblings Judy, Keith, Karen, Audrey, Andrew, James, Denise, Gaylene, and Angie; her children Justin (Sherry), Kristan (Curtis), Alicia (Adam); four grandchildren Alexander, Cadence, Alianna, and Arland; as well as her long-term partner Mitch. Lori loved art, camping, fishing, and the outdoors. It was her wish that in lieu of a funeral, everyone be brought together to celebrate her life. In Lori fashion, on Saturday, August 19, 2017 there will be an all-ages friendly gathering including a wiener roast, burgers, and bouncy castles at Kramer Park, Regina, SK from 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm.  There is some seating available but please bring a lawn chair. No alcohol is permitted in the park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Regina Humane Society (reginahumanesociety.ca).

Messages:

Sorry to hear of Lorraine's passing. I was a little shocked to see that. Our condolences to your family and to Aunt Alice and family.

Deepest sympathies to you all. Although we have never met any of Lori's family we have heard lots about them. As we became friends she talked about her family, especially her grandkids. She popped in often, always with a smile on her face and ready to offer help and advice whenever she could! She was our neighbour for a lot of years on the farm and we will miss her too! Thinking about you, sharing your loss.

To all of Lori's family, Our deepest sympathies. We are hoping that the love of family and friends will comfort each of you. We will and do miss Lori walking through the door, with all of her smiles . We are so thankful to have had Lori's friendship. She spoke often of her family, especially her grandchildren. A special friend, who will always hold a special place in our hearts. Sharing in your loss, Doug and Heather Gyorfi and family

Dear Alice and Family, My deepest sympathies to all. I have very fond memories of all of us running around at the farm when we were young oh and always a wonderful meal!! I am unable to bring Mom to the service but I will try to attend. Know you are all in our prayers. Linda and Annamary
