After a brief illness with brain cancer, the family of John Brian Maxim are saddened to announce his passing on December 19, 2017 at the age of 68 years. He is predeceased by his mother Olga Maxim and father John Maxim.  John is survived by his children: Newly found son Jon Boxall and family; daughter Stephanie Maxim (Micheal Paul) and granddaughter Kaylee Paul; son Michael Maxim (Egon Braga Quirino) and ex-wife Susan Schmitz. Also survived by his siblings and their families Gerrie Mayer, Jacquie Maxim, and David Maxim.  John was a retired teacher and also retired part-time SGLA employee. He had a love for gardening, hockey (Montreal Canadiens), football (Raiders and Roughriders) and most importantly his little granddaughter Kaylee. John enjoyed a family gathering farewell on Thanksgiving to see his family and friends. Our thanks to the Palliative Home Care team and William Booth Grace Hospice. Cremation. No funeral at his request.
