Riley was born on December 24, 1986 in Regina, SK and it wasn’t long before his outgoing personality began to shine through. Always the life of the party, Riley made quick and lasting friendships and was as loyal to his friends and family as they come. He was never at a loss for words and could always be counted on for a good laugh and a great time.
After graduating from Winston Knoll Collegiate, Riley attended the University of Regina and completed his degree in Business Administration with a major in Marketing. A great salesman, he landed jobs with Molson Breweries and later, Red Bull and enjoyed all the travel, festivals, and new experiences his career afforded him.
Riley was passionate about sports and grew up playing hockey and baseball, always cheered on by his #1 fan, Gloria. He also had his favourite teams and could be seen in the stands at as many Roughriders, Oilers, Blue Jays, and Seahawks games as he could attend.
All are welcome to attend a Celebration of Riley’s Life on Friday, August 18, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the Canadian Italian Club, 2148 Connaught St, Regina, SK.
Flowers most gratefully declined. In Riley’s memory, a trust fund is being established for his daughter Jillian. Contributions to the trust may be sent to his mother Gloria at 5974 Steele Cres, Regina, SK, S4X 4B1 or gpawliw@sasktel.net.

Gloria, I am so sorry for your loss. Although Riley and I hadn't keep in touch the past few years, I cherish the memories I have with him through our time together at MacNeill, Winston Knoll and the University of Regina. He was never without his trademark smile, and was always the type of person you could talk to about anything. My thoughts & prayers go out to you, his girlfriend, and his new beautiful little girl.
Dear Gloria, we are so saddened and shocked to hear of Riley's passing. We have so many fond memories made during our time with the two of you during Little League Baseball. These memories we will treasure forever. At a time like this, we know that there are few words that can express our heartfelt feelings and sorrow. Please know that your many friends are here for you during this time of sorrow . Our thoughts and prayers are with you now and in the days ahead. Dave, Carleen and Jon.
Gloria - It is with a heavy heart that I write this. Our memories take us back to the baseball diamond. So many happy memories with you & Riley. Jeff felt close to many of those boys & was proud of the men they became. Riley holds a special place in our hearts. Although due to time & circumstances we had failed to keep in touch, he did drop by recently to share that constant smile & renowned hug. Words cannot express the sorrow we feel for you. May you find comfort in friends & family.
So very sorry for your loss Gloria. I know there will forever be a hole in our hearts ♥️. I know Jordan will never be whole again, as he always looked at Riley as his special little brother. Take comfort in knowing he is with his father in the big house. His infectious smile, that big hug he shared with me last Saturday at Taylor Field will be with me the rest of my days. I am also sure, Jordan and all that close knit group of Riley's friends will be in your corner for the rest of your days.
It is with a heavy heart to send our deepest sympathy. May you find strength in the joy your dear son gave you. Love and hugs.

My sincere sympathy to Riley's mother, his girlfriend, his baby girl, family and dear friends. I was a teacher at Winston Knoll, that got to know Riley during his high school education and he will never be forgotten. My heart is sadden as I heard that he is no longer with us and words cannot express how sorry I am that you all are going through such a great loss. Last time I saw him, we had a fantastic conversation and he made me smile and laugh. There was never a dull moment when we were in his presence. That's just who he was. His smile, his crazy sense of humour and his way to live life to the fullest, will never be forgotten. Sending you all strength and love at such a difficult time.
Riley left his mark on our life by going above and beyond to assist us in our transition from Regina to London, Ontario. When he found out where we were gong he wanted to ensure we had friends when we arrived. Riley made some calls to his friends, enthusiastically endorsed us and connected us with a great group of people in London. Riley was the type of guy that didn't just say he was going to do something, he did it. Without that call and his never ending desire to make others feel welcome, life for us and many others wouldn't have been so enjoyable. We wish to extend our deepest condolences to your family for the loss of a great man. He will be greatly missed.
Gloria, so sorry for your loss, my friend. Thoughts and prayers are with you today. Riley was the love of your life, I'm happy you have a grandchild to cherish and love. Hugs.....
Gloria, so sorry to hear of Riley's passing. Our deepest sympathy goes out to you and your family. Take care.
Cousin, Riley, Auntie Gloria, On Monday, in the early morning, our family circle was sadly broken when we had to say goodbye to Riley. And, as it has been broken before we will come together as one to mourn Riley's departure and to celebrate the wonderful life he had, and recall the great person Riley grew to become. Riley's infectious smile, his easy going nature and his love of his family can and will never leave us, and for this he will never be forgotten. Through these memories of Riley's personality and character we will remain, together as a family, to once again rebuild our damaged circle in honour of Riley, and those in our circle which we've lost before. We will do this not only in honour of Riley but indeed for him, and for each of us as well --- to continue with the incredible Love, Commitment and Devotion on which our family began many years ago, and on which our family circle is built, even today, in this very, very sad time. Rest well my dear buddy Riley, my cousin, my friend and our beloved family member. Riley - you are in our hearts, you are in our minds and we will hold you there, every day, until we meet again.
