Frank was a committed husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He demonstrated his love for all of his family by the way he led his life. He and Mom welcomed everyone into their home and it became a hub for social gatherings. His greatest happiness came by spending time with his family and friends. He was a gifted storyteller who loved good conversation and a good laugh. He had a very special place in his heart for all of his grandchildren. He loved and adored them and would do anything for them. He attended as many sporting events as he could, including watching swimming lessons! Dad was a proficient handyman – he could fix anything (usually with broken hockey sticks, duct tape and the “whatchamacallit”!). He would always be there to lend a helping hand for the endless family projects. He will be so missed.
Frank was born September 25, 1926 in Poland. He immigrated to Canada and lived on the family farm in White Beach, SK. until 1944, when he moved away to work. Frank was a mechanic, welder, long haul driver, and he enjoyed the many long-lasting friendships he made along the way. He married Sylvia Dereniwsky in 1961 and they shared 55 happy years together creating family memories that will always be remembered.
At Frank’s request, a private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Hemodialysis Unit c/o The Hospitals of Regina Foundation.
Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Prasad and the staff of 3E, Dr. Salgado, Dr Abulhadi and the staff of the Hemodialysis Unit for all of the compassionate care over the past years.
We were very sorry to hear about the passing of Frank. Our thoughts & prayers go out to you. He always seemed to be welcoming to us & happy to see us when we met.
