Clay Allen White

August 24th, 2017

Son, Brother, Uncle and Friend passed away at the Regina General Hospital on Thursday, August 24th, 2017.

He was predeceased by his parents Jack and Harriet White, his brothers Terry White and Danny White, brother-in-law Bob, sister-in-law Sandra and his grandparents.

He is survived by his brother Kim, his sisters Judy, Lynda (Sunny), Wendy (Leverne), sister-in-law Doreen and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Clay was born in Maple Creek on March 19th, 1959 the youngest of seven children.  He started school at the Jasper Street School in 1965 and graduated from MCCHS in 1977.  Throughout those years he participated in sports, drama, and many many shenanigans.

Clay worked at various jobs through the years including setting up retails for McLeods, driving bus at Fort Walsh, ski rentals/sales at Cypress Hills, the Jasper Center, and his own video rental store.  He was a proud member of the Kinsmen Club, serving as President and volunteering on several community service projects.

On February 14th, 1984 Clay was involved in an accident which left him in a wheel chair for the remainder of his life.  This was never an obstacle for him, just merely an inconvenience at times.

Clay's friends and family meant everything to him especially all the little kids.  He loved to have fun and he loved to laugh.....a laugh as big as he himself.  Baking and cooking were a big part of Clay and he was good at it - bread, buns, chocolate cake with caramel icing, and cookies.  At Clay's kitchen table - a coffee, a drink, a visit, a reality check, whatever you needed that was the place to be.....
