Harold Kezama

August 29th, 2018

Harold Kezama, late of Regina, SK passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at the age of 72 years. He was predeceased by his parents George and Mary (Bashutski); sister Doris Ebenal; brothers Eddie, Bill and Wally. Harold is survived by his sisters Rose, Olga and Adeline (Ken); brothers Tony (Rose), Don (Sue), Paul, Gerald, Brian and Ralph and numerous nephews and nieces.

Harold was born on January 31, 1946 in Lestock, SK to George and Mary Kezama. His early years were spent on the family farm at Kelliher, SK before moving to Regina as a teenager. Harold was a true free spirit and went where the wind blew him; he worked for the Department of Highways throughout Saskatchewan, IPSCO in Edmonton, and even found his way to Southern Ontario for a bit before settling back down in Regina. Back in Regina Harold was never afraid of hard work and held jobs in the construction, landscaping, and janitorial fields and did whatever he needed to get by. Harold didn’t need much and asked for even less.

Harold loved his sports and was active in ball and hockey as a youngster and grew up to be a passionate Rider and Blackhawks fan. Actually to say passionate in regards to the Riders is probably an understatement – there was probably more than 1 or 2 items thrown at his TV when the Riders were not doing well.

Harold suffered a stroke a few years back and spent the past 2 years at Sunset Extendicare facility in Regina. The family would like to thank the staff for the kind and compassionate care Harold received.

Celebration of Harold’s Life will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the Eagles Club, 1600 Halifax Street, Regina, SK.

In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make a donation to Souls Harbour Rescue Mission in Regina.

Dear Brain I am so very sorry to read of the passing of your brother Harold. I had a flash of old memories come rushing back to me about the wonderful memories of Harold. He was a wonderful sole and may he rest in peace. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time. Sincerely Janet

We will miss Harold, his kind manner and humour made growing up with him and going to school so enjoyable. In the 60's and 70's we used to hang around with a lot of school chums and friends laughing, listening to music and cracking jokes. So many we hung around with have gone and now Harold is there to cheer them up. God speed friend, and our condolences to Brian and all his family.

I remember when Uncle Harold would tell a slightly off colour joke but because he was so good natured no one took offence. He had the Kezama charm down to a science. God speed Uncle Harold. Love to the Kezama family.

So sorry on the passing of Uncle Harold. I'm going to really miss him.

Many a joke with Harold at the Eagles. Wondered what or where he had gone. He would have hated being disabled. Thanks for the memories

I will truly miss him every day at work. We had a great time together laughing. So sorry for your loss.
