Carol Ruth Schwartz

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Carol Ruth Schwartz on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at the age of 61 years. Carol was born on May 9, 1957 in Winnipeg, MB where she spent her early childhood years. At age 9 her family moved to Regina where she resided until her passing.
Predeceased by her loving father Joseph Schwartz in 1965, Carol leaves behind to cherish her memory her mother Hildagarde Schwartz of Regina; her brothers, Alan (Jackie) of Regina, Wayne (Tracey) of Regina, and Ken (Barb) of Edmonton; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She also leaves behind her special guardian, Sister Agnes.
Carol was a lifelong bowling participant and swimmer. She enjoyed latch-hooking an endless supply of rugs and wall-hangings, knitting, dances, quiet drives in the country, board games, and playing music from her extensive collection of records. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Harrow de Groot School, Garrity Home, SaskAbilities, Cosmopolitan Learning Centre, Wascana Rehabilitation Centre, and most recently Santa Maria Senior Citizens Home all played key roles in Carol’s life. Her extended family of teachers, roommates, neighbours, caregivers, and friends supported her throughout her life journey and enabled her to enjoy a life filled with much love and kindness. The family would like to thank all of you.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at 1:30 pm in the Chapel at Santa Maria Senior Citizens Home, 4215 Regina Avenue, Regina, SK. Interment to follow at a later date.
