My thoughts are with the Stack family, its never good-bye just till we meet again

You affected a lot of peoples lives in a positive way. You will be missed. Your love for your kids and grandkids was very noticeable. I recall one time 35 years ago when I was 12 years old and playing hockey in Lumsden. You just bought your son a new hockey stick and brought it to the rink. Your son was not thrilled about the specifics of the stick. You took the stick drove back into Regina and replaced it for the one that your son wanted. At the time I was thinking that you were spoiling your son by doing what he wanted but now 30 some odd years later and being a parent of a 12 year old son myself, I realizing that what you were doing was providing your son with the proper tool so he be the best hockey player he could be. Most parents would not have done that but you did because you wanted the best for your kids. I appreciate and respect that. I recall one time on a Sunday morning in church you telling me you were going to say a prayer for me because I was playing in a huge playoff game later that night. We won the game in OT and I played fairly well in goal. I recall laying in bed that night wondering if what you said in your prayer was the difference of us winning and loosing that night!! Thanks..... If you wouldn’t mind saying a good word to the Lord today that may help us defeat Toronto tonight I would greatly appreciate it as well!!!! Now Kurt you have the best seat in the house to watch any hockey game you so choose. Better than any luxury box in any arena!! You earned the right to sit there!! Thanks for all your support over the years! Rest In Peace Kurt - Jason Fitzsimmons

My very deepest sympathy to Kurt’s family.
