Alvin Wayne Tkatchuk

December 21st, 2018

It is with sadness we announce the sudden passing of Alvin Wayne Tkatchuk on December 21, 2018. Alvin was fighting a battle with Parkinson’s over the past years. Alvin will always be remembered as a funny man with lots of stories and love for all around him. Prior to his diagnosis of Parkinson’s he was a hobby woodworker, loved fishing, hunting, and just being around people. He worked in the health field most of his life.  He will be missed greatly by the people closest to him. He left behind two sons Scott and Todd; an Angel who cared for him Marilyn Labatte; daughter-in-law Renata Tkatchuk; two grandsons who he loved so much Luka and Marko Tkatchuk;  along with many family and friends. Alvin will be greatly missed and always remembered. There will be a Celebration of Life to come at a later date.

My deepest sympathy to Marilyn and family. My thoughts are with you at this difficult time.

So sorry to see in the paper that Alvin had passed away. We hadn't seen him for many years, but have good memories of him during our early years in x-ray. Our condolences to you, Marilyn and your sons.

We would like to offer our sincere condolences to Marilyn Labatte, Scott and Todd Tkatchuk, and family members, on Alvin's passing. Any memory of Alvin, produces a big smile on our faces, and there were many. We were so lucky, 30 years ago, when the Tkatchuk's moved into our neighbourhood. It wasn't long before Alvin met neighbours Don Daviduck, and later Don Osmack. We called them the "Three Amigo's". The fun and laughter they spread throughout the neighbourhood, was delightful. It was a sad day when they had all moved on to another location. Many years later when we ran into Alvin, we could see how his dreadful disease had robbed him of so much life. He was simply the kindest, most friendly, funniest man, we have met. We are so grateful to have known him and his family. Hugs to all, Love Obie and Charlotte.

Deepest sympathy to Marilyn and family.

My condolences to you Marilyn, your sons and their families. Great memories of our times with Alvin (aka Chuker) and you in Langenburg and Lac La Biche. Fondly remembered.

Heartfelt Condolences to Marilyn, Todd, Renata, Scott, Luka and Marko and the entire extended family for your loss.. We have very fond memories of Alvin and his story telling/jokes..We will remember him fondly
