Patricia "Patt" Bradshaw
June 26th, 2019
Patricia (Patt) passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 26, 2019. She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, George; daughter Jan (Bob) and their children Scott and Lauren (Nick) and daughter Lynda (Robin).
Patt was born in Winnipeg in 1931, the only child of Phyllis and William Wilkes. She spent her formative years in St Vital, graduating from Glenlawn Collegiate. After attending Business College, she was employed as a Key Punch Operator at Great West Life. She met George in Gimli, Manitoba in 1951 and they were married later that year. After spending their first two years in Winnipeg they relocated to Penhold Airforce Base near Red Deer, Alberta, where daughter Jan was born. They returned to Winnipeg in 1956, but a job opportunity as a pilot with Air Ambulance on January 1, 1957 brought them to Regina. Second daughter, Lynda, was welcomed into the family a year later.
Patt spent the rest of her life in Regina, raising her girls and contributing to her community and her Church. She was an active member of the Wa Wa Shrine Ladies Auxiliary, the Regina Golf Club and All Saints Anglican Church. She held many positions in the Church – the first woman to serve on the Vestry, a leader of the Junior Auxiliary and Directress of the Altar Guild, to name a few. Patt was an avid fan of her grandchildren’s activities…soccer, basketball, football, competitive and synchronized swimming, school events and music recitals.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Donations in Patt’s memory can be made to All Saints Anglican Church, Regina Humane Society, Wa Wa Shrine, or a charity of your choice.
