Mark Beattie
November 7th, 2021
It is with heavy, broken hearts we announce the passing of Mark Beattie on November 7, 2021 at the age of 48.
He was predeceased by his parents Douglas and Norma Beattie. He will be greatly missed by his sister Susan, brother-in-law Jay, niece Kaylen, and nephew Quintin whom he lived with up to his passing. He is also missed by his half-sisters Theresa Delaney and Tammy Comeau and their families. He will be missed by his close friends Nathan, Jordon, Margaret, Connie and Howie and Jen – he considered you to be family. Mark will also be missed by many extended family and friends.
Mark grew up in Bradford, Ontario before moving to Innisfil, Ontario. After his father passed, he moved to Alliston and then Barrie. After a few years he moved in with his sister, brother-in-law, and their kids in Nova Scotia. He then relocated with them to Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.
Mark was a huge fan of the Montreal Canadiens and the Dallas Cowboys, and could talk your ear off for hours about his teams. He would never miss a game if he could.
Mark was also a firm believer in Jesus Christ and enjoyed attending church every Sunday and was a passionate teacher to those who would listen. Mark enjoyed diving deep into the scriptures to give himself a better understanding of the bible. Mark loved music and would often sing songs from his favourite artists including Barry Manilow, Elvis Presley and Kenny Rogers. He loved singing and you would hear him walking down the street singing away to himself and whomever was in earshot.
A service will be held in the Newmarket Church of Christ, 230 Davis Drive, Newmarket, Ontario on November 20, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.
