Roberta (Webb) Cherwak
January 15th, 2021
Roberta Cherwak, late of Regina, Saskatchewan, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021 at the age of 83 years. She was predeceased by her parents Bob and Ruth Webb and one sister Eileen Chappell.
Roberta is survived by her husband of 64 years John Cherwak; her two daughters Joy Parker Cherwak (Brad) of Good Spirit, Saskatchewan and Gay Young (Barry) of Regina, Saskatchewan; two grandchildren Christina Lasko (Trent) and John Young (Jamie) of Regina, Saskatchewan; and one great-grandchild Aliyah Lasko.
Roberta’s childhood was spent on the family farm near Bankend, Saskatchewan, then in the town of Foam Lake, Saskatchewan.
After marrying John and moving to Regina, Roberta’s focus was on being a wife and mother. As her daughters got older, she started a rewarding career with the Regina Public School Board in the Phys. Ed. Department, where she remained until her retirement.
Roberta’s priority was always her family, each and every day. She will be deeply missed, and her memories will live on with her friends and family.
At Roberta’s request there will be no funeral, and a family interment will be scheduled for a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice, as Roberta supported many different causes throughout her life.
We know you will be with us, and we will cherish your many memories. Until we meet again.

John, Joy, Gay and family, We have so many wonderful memories of time spent with Roberta. I met Roberta at the board office and she quickly became not only a mentor to me, but a wonderful and caring friend. We also discovered that we shared the same birthday and for a long time, began a yearly tradition of celebrating together along with our spouses and our boss, Jack Mackenzie. We were saddened to hear of Roberta's passing. We enjoyed many years of friendship at Clearview. Oh, the elaborate breakfasts! Many fond memories!
