Daniel Cabral Duarte
April 16th, 2021
Daniel “Danny” Cabral Duarte was a caring and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who left this world on April 16, 2021 at the Regina General Hospital. Danny was born to Eduardo and Ana Maria Duarte of San Miguel, Portugal on February 20, 1949.
He died suddenly and left a devasted family struggling to come to terms with his loss. His wife, Luzviminda Ugalde-Duarte, and his sister, Adelia Duarte-Meideros, were by his side at the hospital when he drifted off to be with the Lord. His children Sandra, Mike, Nelson, Terry and his siblings Carlos, Reymond, Fatima and Mario were not able to come and see him for the last time due to Covid restrictions set by Provincial Health Guidelines - also, Danny’s beloved dog, Griffen always waiting for his owner to come home.
Upon Danny’s request regardless of Covid, no service will be held as he didn’t want a service or viewing of any sort.
Lately, Danny always wanted to return to the Philippines desperately as he called Philippines his home.
He also joined the military in Portugal before coming to Canada. Danny was a handyman. His passion for building stuff led him to start his own ZIP Renovation Company but later gave it up due to his health condition. He then worked at the Ramada Hotel as a Maintenance Associate but not for long as he went on sick leave and thereafter full retirement.
Danny’s cheerful attitude and bright smile will be missed…Forever Be Loved.
