Steven Ward Dunster
October 20th, 2021
Steve, late of Regina, SK, passed away on October 20, 2021 at the age of 65 years with family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was predeceased by his parents Wilfred and Marie Dunster.
Left to mourn is his cherished wife of 47 years, Janice Dunster (Holt); son Keith (Elise) Dunster and their children Owen, Avery, Estelle and Marie; daughter Lori (Derek) Senz and their children Neysa and Kaleb; brother Lee (Diane) Dunster and niece Erin (Dan) Matthews and family; brother Mike (Glenda) Dunster and nephews/nieces Sean, Lynn, Jessica and Matthew Dunster; special mention of Barry and Joyce Holt for their love and support.
He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by his family. He was an inspiration as he battled cancer and complications along the way with hope and determination. He received so much love, support, and extraordinary daily care every step of the way from his loving wife, Janice.
He attended Kitchener School and later, Scott Collegiate. Steve and Janice were childhood sweethearts and married when they were eighteen years old. Their son, Keith was born the following year and daughter Lori, arrived a few years later. Steve’s work career mainly consisted of supervisory/management roles under Westfair Foods locations in Regina and Saskatoon and Sherwood Coop Grocery locations in Regina. His dedication and work ethic was well recognized. Sadly, illness caused him to retire early and he and Janice will not enjoy the retirement years together as they had dreamed of and most certainly deserved.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Regina Pasqua Hospital Palliative Care Unit for their genuine care of Steve and support to the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Steve may be made to the charity of your choice.
Upon request, no service will be held.

I am sorry to read this sad news about Steve's passing away so young. I remember you both from school, Janice - one of the sweetest couples ever destined to marry and have a good life together. I'm sad that your "golden years" have been cut short and I hope you find some easing of your grief in sharing memories of all the good times, of the laughter and the love. Steve had a smile that lit up any room he came into. My sincere condolences to you and all your family.
Janice and family my deepest condolences at this time at the loss of Steve. I remember you as school sweethearts and have been lucky to be able to follow your time together over the years.
Father I ask that you would lift up Janice and her family and hold them in the hollow of Your Hand at this very difficult time. May Your Peace which surpasses all understanding encompass them with your Love. 49ish years ago Steve and Janice became one, I pray that You Father would step in and uphold Janice as she deals with the loss of a huge part of herself. May all the good memories be a huge strength for her and their children and grandchildren. Lee and Mike and families, I know what it is to lose a Brother. All we have left are the memories and the love which we can pour back into family. Father uphold my old friends encourage, strengthen and Bless their lives. The beautiful thing about our faith is that it promises that death is not the end of the road but that we will one day meet again... it gives us Hope of a Future. Memories... you three became a part of my life so many years ago. Your block was special for me... Terry Ruth, Russel Mellet, Janice Wood... so many memories. If you would like to talk, give me a call or text... Sending our Love and deepest condolences your way. Art & Lynn
