Timothy "Tim" Brian Freed

It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Timothy Brian Freed on Friday, April 23, 2021 at the age of 50.
Tim leaves behind his son Andrew Freed (Sophie); mother Gloria Paisley (nee Freed); stepfather Dale Paisley; father George Grover; his sisters and brother Brenda Helm (Rod Miller), Patrice Leib (Brooks), Trevor Freed (Leanne Witwicki) and Corrie Burchi (Mike); he will also be greatly missed by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family. Tim had a soft spot and special place in his heart for his nieces and nephews Jennifer, Blaid, Jayden, Sophia, Josh, Mason, Eric, Alyx, Mikayla, Megan and Ethan.
Tim held a strong and close-knit group of friends which included his best buddies John, Jarod and Rick as well as many other friends and acquaintances. Tim was undeniably a hard worker and made many friends during his 12 years with the City of Regina.
Tim loved nothing more than spending time with his family and friends but we knew we sometimes came in second to his love of fishing! His happiest moments were spent fishing with his brother, brothers-in-law and friends. His last text was a reply to the Boys planning a Father’s Day fishing trip…not surprisingly…”I’m IN”!
Anyone who knew Tim, knew on the surface he showed a quiet, laid-back demeanor, a ‘sit back and observe’ style but spend any time with him and you would be entertained by his out-of-the-blue, perfectly-timed sense of humour. He was always joking and having fun banter with Family.
Although Tim was known for his kind heart, it has become apparent from all the condolences that have poured in, just how many lives he touched. Tim was the kindest soul. There is not a person who could have said any unkind word about him. He was undeniably one of the “Good guys”. The world is not the same without our “Tim Tim”.

My condolences to the Family. I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Timmy over the years at the city. We just plowed Broad St. not 2weeks ago. He was a true gentle coworker always made the best out of any situation. Gonna be missed!
My sympathy runs deep for your family. I have known Tim since I’m sure he was born. I don’t remember ever not seeing him over at Shawna’s house. Growing up with the Freed family I was always immersed in lots of laughter and lots of fun, and certainly much chaos when the boys burst onto the scene, especially Tim! I am so sorry that this tragedy has taken place. My heart is especially with Gloria as she suffers the loss of her baby boy. May all of you find peace in the memories of your son/father/brother/uncle/cousin/friend as you sift through your grief. May “Timmy” (who I remember him by) rest easy. He will always be with you, watch for signs he will reach out to his loved ones.

My condolences to Tim's family and friends. Tim and I met in our teens trying to make changes as young people all the while trying to live life on life's terms. A great guy who is sadly missed but never forgotten.
“Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”... This was the last message Tim sent to me, I really wish I listened to him more. My condolences to all his family and friends, God always seems to take the best ones first.

I treasure my memories with Tim. He truly was one of a kind, someone that would lend advice or a helping hand to anyone. He was a gentle quiet man but had a fierce love for his family & friends. Tim just like his brother was an awesome person to fish with and have a laugh with I wish to say to the family I am sorry for this life that was taken far to soon and to Tim I would like to say thanks for being the great guy and friend that you are I will do my best to fish in your honour and I hope that you have found peace

I found out my sister passed 2 days prior to Tim's passing. Nothing hurts more than losing family so young. Tim was a good friend always smiling and willing to help out. My sincere condolences you all. There are more angels now that will be missed here.
