It is with great sadness the family of Rose Jaap announce her passing on February 15, 2021 in Weyburn, SK at the age of 86 years. Rose was born in Regina, SK where she lived until she relocated to Weyburn, SK in 2020. Rose met the love of her life Jim and they were married in 1964. Rose proudly worked for the Government of Saskatchewan for over 30 years before retiring in the late 1980’s. She spent many years with Jim playing darts as members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #001, as well as serving with the Disabled Veteran’s Association. Those who knew Rose knew her for her love of friends and family near and far, especially her 3 grandchildren and her beloved pugs; she was always happiest when she was with them. Rose will be lovingly remembered and is survived by her eldest son David (Tara) Keating-Jaap of Weyburn, SK and granddaughter Chloe Lynn of Brooks, AB; youngest son Douglas (Shanna) Jaap of Calgary, AB and grandson Connolly Jaap; her brother Robert (Elaine) Schaffer of Brentwood Bay, BC and numerous nieces and nephews. Rose was predeceased by Jim, her loving husband of over 46 years in 2011. She was also predeceased by her grandson Doherty Jaap in 2016. The family would like to thank the staff at the Tatagwa View Nursing Home in Weyburn, SK for their care and support. Due to COVID-19 restrictions no formal funeral service will be held. If loved ones so desire, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Regina Humane Society (
