Kyle Josvanger
September 17th, 2021
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kyle Elmer Josvanger on September 17, 2021 at the age of 81 years. Kyle passed away peacefully with his loving wife of 58 years by his side. Kyle was predeceased by his parents Druscilla and Elmer Josvanger; his sister Denise; and grandparents Erick and Bertha Josvanger, Dorothy and William Hepburn.
Kyle is survived by his wife Marlyn; daughter Debbie (Marty) Leibel, sons Vern (Lisa) and Brian; four grandchildren Jake and Lana Leibel, Drew and Emily Josvanger and great-granddaughter Brielle Leibel. Also mourning are his sisters Laurel Josvanger and Doreen (Harvey) Howatt; Aunt Berenice Moncrieff; his brothers in-law Gerard and Don Gartner and sister in-law Cecilia Gartner; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Also surviving Kyle is a special young boy named Braden (mother Shylah) who thought of Kyle as a grandpa.
Kyle grew up in the Dilke district where he worked on the family farm, while also working at Ipsco until 1985. After leaving Ipsco, Kyle and Marlyn purchased more land and they farmed full time with the help of their sons. Any time spent at the farm was the place where he truly wanted to be.
Kyle’s determination and strength, along with the support and care of his wife allowed him to stay in his home until his passing. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the doctors, nurses, home care professionals, and the Pasqua Palliative Ward for their care and compassion. We will be forever grateful for the extra years that Kyle was with us. His life was a blessing.
A private family graveside service will he held on Friday, September 24, 2021 at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery, with Rev Diane Robinson officiating. In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to the Dilke Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 34, Dilke, Sask., S0G 1C0.

Marlyn and all the family, Our sincere condolences during the loss of your husband Kyle, and our sympathies to Debbie, Vern, Brian and grandkids, so sorry you lost your Dad and Grandpa. Kyle was always smiling and ready for a good visit. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Cousin Colleen (Gartner) Duesing and family.
Marlyn and families so sorry to hear of Kyle's passing. He enjoyed life to the fullest. Always had a smile and ready to offer sage advice. We certainly had some great times when we were at Edwards School. Be it jumping off the school barn roof, having a very long recess drowning out gophers in the spring or "bowling" on the alley we created in the school basement. We will miss him. May he rest in peace.
Marlyn and family - we are so sorry for your loss, sincere condolences on the passing of Kyle
