Paul Klinger

January 6th, 2021

With Saddened hearts we say good-bye to Paul Klinger. With family at his side, Paul peacefully passed on Wed, Jan 6th, 2021 after a spirited battle with cancer.    Paul's love of his family and friends gave him all the reasons he needed to extend our precious time with him.

Paul is survived by Isolde (Dee) his wife of 55 years, his brother Hermann, his brother Arnie, his son Tom (Gavin), his son Rob (Andrea), his daughter Brenda (Bobby) and his grandchildren Randi (Sean), Kaitlyn, Kyla, Bridgette, Baden, Mason and Michal.

Paul will be missed as a husband, a father, a grandfather and a friend to so many.   Our extended family flourished has he transitioned friendships into family. Paul loved every honorary member of his family and to all of you know he truly cherished all the conversations and memories. His endless patience supporting kids is a legacy not soon forgotten. As a coach, manager, cheerleader, driver, chaperone, helper of all sorts or any other roles he so enjoyed, Paul was always a calm and caring soul for the kids. Whether it was his own children, grandchildren or any of the other kids he made time for, his positive influence on them will be remembered.

Paul was a super fan of the Riders. Over the decades of support for his team beginning in the 1960's, he's been involved as a long-term season's ticket holder, corporate liaison, volunteer, broadcasting, analyst and statistic support. The countless friends Paul made with his passion for the Green & White are too numerous to mention. For all that talked football with Paul, you know he truly loved his Riders (even when he was not happy with them). Paul's love of the Riders and caring for those he shared his team with created a Riders family for him that he enjoyed so much. Not surprisingly, he again enhanced his family with honorary members and loved them all.

Thank you so much from the family to all the Doctors, Nurses, Caregivers and staff of the William Booth Special Care Home and Allan Blair Cancer Clinic who cared for Paul. A special thank you to Chaplin Cliff Geiger for the time he spent with Paul, the conversations they shared, all the prayers and words of comfort he provided.

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, 4825 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, Saskatchewan (Please us parking lot entrance at the back of the church).

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that a donation in Paul's name be made to the Saskatchewan Cancer Society or the William Booth Special Care Home.
