Theresa Rose Miller

August 8th, 1920 ~ March 24th, 2021

It is with sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Theresa Rose Miller (nee Frohlick), formerly of Holdfast, SK, on March 24, 2021.

Theresa was predeceased by her husband Michael; her son Gordon; her brothers John, Joe, Gabe, Mike, Jack, Stan, and Al; her sisters Margaret, Mary, Annie, Kay, and Barbara; her parents Gabriel and Theresa Frohlick. Theresa loved her family deeply. She is survived by her daughter Paulette (Leroy) Larsen and their children Warren (Hannah), Leslie (Peter) Kampe and their children Tye, Fyn and Rys, Randi (Matt Webber) and their children Christian and Olivia; son Don (Dorothy) and their children Jody (Colin Graham), Heidi, Scott (Megan) and their children Piper and Quinn; daughter-in-law Gordon’s wife Brenda; son David (Deloris) and their children Riley and her son Hunter, Lacey (Nathan) Engel and their twin sons Tayvan and Kolson; son Glenn (Brenda) and their children Britton (Lex) Houdek and their son Carter, Brett (Lindsey) and their children Lila and Jamie; son Rene (Norma) and their children Lindsay Mazer and her sons Owen and Levi, Kelsey (Mike) Ruf and their children Halle and Lewis. Theresa is also survived by her brother Tony of Regina, SK; her sister Madeline Karr of Winnipeg, MB; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A woman of faith, she was also an active member of the Holdfast Seniors, assisted with gathering reams of information for the Holdfast History Book, involved with the Homecoming celebrations and many other activities where community involvement was required. She enjoyed socializing and participated in Senior Games events where she made a number of lasting friends. Theresa enjoyed curling, playing cards – especially canasta, whist and rummy and was always a good sport whether winning or losing. She especially loved playing BINGO. She was a good cook, and her family looked forward to visiting her, so they could enjoy a good bowl of borscht, freshly made cinnamon buns, apple kuchen and many other of her specialties. She enjoyed gardening and caring for many varieties of flowers. Following in the footsteps of her husband and children, she eventually became interested in football, and became an avid Saskatchewan Roughriders football fan and supporter, having season tickets for several years, until it became too difficult for her to take in the games. Mom was also an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Royal Canadian Legion-Penzance Branch, helping out with teas and other events, and of course the Annual Remembrance Day Services. Mom looked forward to the biannual ‘Frohlick Family Reunions’, where she would have an opportunity to reconnect with her brothers and sisters and their families from across the country and beyond, and always had a new crocheted afghan to donate for the fundraising raffle.

The family wishes to acknowledge the entire staff of Cupar Nursing Home for the kind and compassionate care they provided Mom for nearly 12 years.

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic and Public Health restrictions on the size of gatherings, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined. If you wish, donations in memory of Theresa may be made to Cupar Nursing Home, Box 310, Cupar, SK S0G 0Y0 or ABVM Parish, Box 40, Holdfast, SK S0G 2H0.
