Gordon Mock

May 25th, 2021

We are deeply saddened by the loss of our husband, father, papa and great-papa Gordon Mock, late of Regina, SK who passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at the age of 70 years, with his wife Rose by his side.

He was predeceased by his parents Charlie and Minnie; two sets of twins; brother Jack; mother-in-law Pauline; brothers-in-law Tony, Ron, and Paul; and dog Bear. Left to celebrate his life is his wife of 50 years, Rose; children Lisa (Bill) and Brent (Wendy); grandchildren Kaitlyn, Kevin, Avery, Breeanna, Alexis, Kayla, and Emery; great-grandchildren Maggie and one coming soon Kaden. He is also survived by his brothers Wayne and Rick; brothers and sisters-in-laws Ruth, Pat, Judy, Larry (Pat), Peter, Brian (Brenda), Albert (Debbie), Danny (Laurinda); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Gordon worked at a few places during his lifetime but the ones he actually liked working at were Mr. Jack’s when he was much younger, Loomis, and Brandt Industries until his retirement.

He loved his pick 3 lottery tickets and hoped to win the big one someday. He loved old western movies without the sound, anything grape and he was a man of not so many words but don’t be stealing his chocolate as he would give you the evil eye and you knew then what he was really wanting to say to you. He loved to be outside on the patio admiring his wife’s flowers and peeking over the fence like Mr. Wilson to watch the traffic go by.

Thank you so much to the nurses and doctors at the Regina Pasqua Hospital Pallative Care Unit 3A and the Regina General Hospital Unit 6A.

Private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre Street, Regina, SK S4P 2R3 if you so wish.

Messages:

My condolences to Rose and family. What an amazing neighbour! I was new to the Province and never heard of this game called crib. Gord swiftly invited me over and taught me all the ins and out. Many memorable summer nights after that playing crib at his kitchen table and me losing almost every game listening to Gord telling me great stories. Fantastic guy. Great times.

Our sincere sympathies to you Rose, and family. I just by accident found out Gord had passed when I was at the Cemetery, and saw the name. Best neighbour ever! Enjoyed many years as neighbours in the 90's. Lots of great memories - I think there was a lot of "Mr Wilson'ing" over that adjoining fence then too! Rest Easy Gord, hope you finally get that big win.

Our sympathies to you Rose and your family. Enjoyed our visits with you and Gord along with Harvey and Louise. Our thoughts and prayers are with you
