Pauline Piniach (Nee Bzdell)

February 10th, 2021

It is with great sadness that the family of Pauline Piniach announce her peaceful passing surrounded by family in her beloved home on February 10, 2021. Pauline was born on October 25, 1930 in Wishart, Saskatchewan. Pauline was predeceased by her mother Catherine and father Dan, husband Harvey, beloved son Gary and daughter Shelley (in infancy). Left to cherish her memory are her only surviving daughter Patti and grandchildren Anthony and Spencer; sons Mark (Ann-Marie) and grandchildren Tamara (Chris) and great-granddaughter Nora, Alex (Sophia), Greg, Don, John, Peter (Quynh and her son Jonathan); daughter-in-law Joey and grandchildren Nicole (Trent) and Tysen (Chantille) and great-granddaughter Berkley. Pauline was deeply loved by all her family members and she will be missed dearly.

Pauline was a woman of strong Catholic faith and her faith was a significant part of her daily life. She was an active member of St. Basil’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, Regina, SK for many years.

She will be fondly remembered for her strength of character and strong will. She had an unwavering love for her children and took great pride in all of her children’s accomplishments and celebrated their unique strengths.

She enjoyed the simple pleasures in life and truly made the most out of every day. She was most proud to share memories of her children and live independently in her own home, despite several health challenges, until her final breath. Her resilience and determination to live the way she wanted inspired all who knew her.

A Private Funeral Divine Liturgy will be held. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. Flowers most gratefully declined. Friends so wishing may make donations, in memory of Pauline, to St. Basil’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1747 Toronto Street, Regina, SK.

Messages:

Many years ago I was a co-worker of Don's. He talked of his family from time to time. Very sorry for your loss Don

Our sincerest condolences to the entire Piniach Family. When a Mother leaves for the last time, an indelible emotional void is created. May this void be filled with a wealth of wonderful memories. E & A.

Deepest condolence's to the Piniach family on the loss of your mother from her Godchild Jim Bihun. Also condolence's and sympathy are passed on from Lena Bihun and family. It's been a long time, but back in the 50's 60's and 70's though St. Basil's parish Joe and Lena Bihun and Harvey and Pauline had a strong friendship.
