Elizabeth Marie Racette

July 20th, 2021

It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Elizabeth Marie Racette on July 20, 2021. Elizabeth was blessed with many gifts. She was smart and determined. She loved her family. Her sense of humor was wicked, and she loved to laugh. Her jewellery reflected her perfectly bold, bright, beautiful and always styling. A girly- girl her favourite color was pink. Her gifts were always creative and so beautifully wrapped. The home she made for her boys was a warm and welcoming place. Always on a spiritual journey. Liz was committed to her family, friends and community volunteering with those organizations near and dear to her heart. Underpinning it all was a quest for social justice.

With her mom and sister holding her hands in this world, with eyes open wide she bravely stepped into the next.

Waiting to welcome her to the spirit world, brother Adrian. Leaving behind, her boys she loved with all her heart, Noah and Micah; co-parent and best friend Jason; her sister Sher-bear; parents Stella and Steve; nieces Layla and Sarah; nephews Elijah, Isaiah and Blazen; aunts Roxanne, Carmen and Uncle Dale; friends too numerous to mention; special friend Jo-Jo, who was with her on her last steps of her journey.

Special thanks to Sarah and Dr. Sarah! Thank you to all the nurses and doctors at Pasqua Hospital ER, 4A, 4B, MSY and Palliative Care Unit for your care of our Liz. Special thanks to Dr. Kyle who was a ray of sunshine. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the following link as this is something Liz really wanted to do:https://gofund.me/5e4ccaa8

Messages:

Stella & Family, Words cannot express how sorry we are to hear about the passing of Elizabeth. Please accept our deepest sympathies and know that our prayers are with you all during this time of sorrow. Our family has donated to Elizabeth GoFundme page & we hope her boys get to Disney World some day! Love, Arnold & Fay Racette

As I think about Liz I remember having a conversation on her porch she asked me about my Family. She connected with me through her heart! I could feel her compassion and genuine interest in my life’s story. She created a safe and sacred space to share from the depth of my heart that I never shared with anyone before! I felt my ancestors were honoured that day. I could feel her gratitude which allowed me to be vulnerable and for that I am grateful! Liz I will never forget!
