Frank Joseph Ries

March 14th, 2021

On March 14, 2021 Frank Joseph Ries passed away peacefully at Wascana Rehabilitation Centre, Unit 3-5 Veterans Ward, Regina, SK with his wife, Judy, by his side.

Frank was born at Indian Head, SK in 1922 and resided there until 1994 when he retired to Fort Qu’Appelle, SK. Retirement was fully enjoyed after farming as he loved to travel, golf, dance and play cards. He played a beautiful harmonica and enjoyed countless family gatherings!

Frank served in the RCAF as an air frame mechanic from 1939-1945. He then joined a road construction crew building the #1 Trans-Canada Highway from Qu’Appelle to the Manitoba border. He then went back to farming until retirement.

He was the kindest, most gentle person you could ever want to meet. Frank had a great sense of humor and loved to play tricks on you!!

Due to Covid-19, a Private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. If you so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer Society of Regina or your choice of charities.

A special "thank you" to Dr. G. Bailey and the wonderful staff of Unit 3-5 Veterans Ward, Wascana Rehabilitation Centre, Regina, SK.

A very special "thank you” to Frank from Judy for being my life-long partner and best friend. I will love you forever! Until we meet again, mahalo!!

Messages:

Deepest sympathy Judy in the loss of Frank. You were such a special care giver. Thinking of you at this very sad time. Hugs❤️

Our deepest condolences to you Judy, on the recent loss of your dear husband Frank. Saying good bye to a loved one isn't the easiest thing to do but because of love we have to let go. Frank is in a far better place now and you will have a very special Guardian Angel watching over you now. Prayers and blessings from us all. Rosemary Devers and Family.

Judy, I don't get the newspaper. Conway phoned to remind him of your name for sure. When I told him 'yes', he sent me Frank's obit. Although I am sorry for your loss, I'm pretty sure that it is a blessing for both him and for you. I hope you are keeping well, and safe. . . . in my prayers, ce

Judy: Sorry to hear of Frank's passing, he was a friend of our Queen City Good Sam Club and enjoyed the many years of our RVing in the province. Our friendship of sharing and enjoying our interests was special! Marcia and Don Shalley

Judy I wish I could take away the hurt and the sadness in your heart. I wish I could calm your spirit and bring you comfort, but most of all I wish I had more than just these words to let you know how truly sorry I am With My Deepest Sympathy
