Terry (Threasa) Marie Spence

January 14th, 2021

It is with shock and sadness that I announce the passing of my sister Terry (Threasa) Spence on January 14, 2021.

Terry was born in Nova Scotia, where our Dad had been stationed in the Navy. Once his service was concluded the family of 3 moved back to Esterhazy, Saskatchewan. Once I came along the family moved to Regina where Terry would become infamous in many circles.

Terry was predeceased by our grandparents on both sides and by our parents Veronica (Ronnie) and Howard Spence. She leaves to mourn her passing her sister Sheryl Spence (Ken Ledoux) and Sheryl’s children Amanda, Murray, Brian, and Tina and their families; as well as her very special friend Marcel Patoine; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and her incredible extensive extended family. Terry maintained close relationships with friends (sisters really) that she met (kidnapped) starting in kindergarten.

Our mother would often say that Terry could talk to a statue and it would eventually talk back. She was a no holds barred kind of person. You always knew where she stood on an issue...she told you. Where you stood?...she told you that too. She told you things you never wanted or needed to know, and when she was finished...her laughter cleansed your ears (sometimes).

Stories of her escapades are legendary and should be used as cautionary tales in most circles but it was a badge of honor to be able to say that you were there when it happened.

Life tossed her some curveballs but she always managed to swing at the right time. She jumped on board when SaskTel offered her a job and she enjoyed a 30+ year career making even more extended family and having even crazier escapades.

Terry left us all too soon and with so much left undone. She still had trips to take, people to shock and new friends to make.

As per Terry’s request, no funeral service will be held.

In her memory please donate to the charity of your choice, pet all the fur-babies you can, talk to people you’ve never met and live your lives to the fullest extent. She will be watching and cheering you on.
