Frances Ann Zilcosky was born in Regina, Saskatchewan on February 19, 1937. She passed away on November 17, 2021 at the age of 84 years.
She was predeceased by her birth parents at a young age. She was also predeceased by her foster parents Joseph and Mary Wolbaum, foster brother Alvin (Allan) Wolbaum and niece Cynthia Wolbaum. Frances is survived by her adoptive family foster sister Carol (Randy and family) Patch, nephew Alden (Trish and family) Wolbaum, nieces Wanda (and family) Steman and Yvonne (Brent and family) Jones.
Frances was a foster child who came to be with the Wolbaum Family of Vibank, Saskatchewan in her early life. She lived with them until their passing. Frances will be fondly remembered as a very kind and loving soul. Truly one of God’s angels. She was always the neighbourhood helping hand. She would shovel snow, plant and hoe gardens, help prepare meals, do dishes and much more for many elderly ladies for many years. She was Miss Reliable. She will be forever known for all the wonderful drawings and coloured pictures she would make and hand out to all who knew her. Most recently, she was a resident at the Cupar and District Nursing Home. She loved being there and loved all who worked there. They treated her with great dignity and love. We appreciate you all. Thank you. Your love you shared for her is with her forever. She will be remembered for all the joy and love she gave and for allowing us to recognize that a simpler life endears us all. Frances gave all she could give to the end. God called to her and she was tired and ready to part this earthly domain. She passed away in the hands of her family.
Graveside Service will be held on Friday, November 26, 2021 at 3:30 p.m. in Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery, 815 Assiniboine Avenue, Regina, Saskatchewan (please meet inside the cemetery gates).
In God’s hands now, forever.
