Peter Bohay

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, our "Super Man", Peter Bohay on August 1, 2022 at the age of 94. Peter was born in the Goodeve district, and married Lydia Temple on January 12, 1957, enjoying 65 years of marriage.

Dad will be remembered for his giving and caring nature. He was an avid sports enthusiast who enjoyed attending his children's and grandchildren's sporting events. This enthusiasm extended into putting on the goalie equipment and allowing his children to take "slapshots" on him. With mom's coaxing, Dad came out of retirement to play goal for his grandchildren while in his eighties. When Dad played any sports, cards, or games against his children or grandchildren, he ensured that they earned their points. His competitive side never wavered. Dad enjoyed tending to and showing off his garden, sitting outside in the sun, but especially having family at his house so he could continuously feed them with treats. Dad was a very strong individual who very seldom complained about life or health issues even up to his last breath. He was very content with life and was a kind and gentle soul to everyone who knew him.

Peter will never be forgotten and always cherished by his wife Lydia; children Lyle (Anna), Glenn (Sherry), and Rick (Renea); grandchildren Samantha, Daylen (Taylor), Kylee, Kelsey (Tyson), Matt, Hunter and Brooklyn; his brothers Henry (Eleanor) Bohay and Myron (Helen) Herasymuik; his sisters Sophie (Albert) Eskow and Rosie Temple; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Memorial with Pastor Lucas Andre Albrecht will be held on Friday, August 5, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in Regina Funeral Home & Cemetery, 4001 Victoria Avenue East, Regina, SK. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dad's memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
