Valerie Lynn DeGelder

March 13th, 2022

It is with deepest heartache and sorrow that our family had to send back one of the world's brightest angels to heaven. Our mother, Valerie Lynn DeGelder, was born on February 19, 1958. She lost her battle with Non-Hodgkin’s Large Diffuse B-Cell Lymphoma on March 13, 2022, at 64 years of age, at the Pasqua Hospital, Regina, Saskatchewan. She was surrounded by her children and grandchildren every day leading up to her passing. We'd like to believe she was being called back to heaven for a reason, perhaps a mission to fill or to finally have the long awaited peace she so greatly deserved, as well as endless happiness, with no suffering.

Her legacy will live on through her four loving children and their spouses Krista (Conley) McInnis, Bill (Dakota) Jones, Meridith (Mark) Weippert and Crystal (Brad) DeGelder. We promise to always keep your memory alive with lots of conversations and laughter with ALL of your grandchildren Mason, Isabella, Bridgette, Tia, Autumn, Cole and Grace-Lynn; as well as your great-grandchildren Korra and Gabriel.

This is not goodbye, Mom. It's a "see you later". You were so unbelievably loved by so many people. We love and miss you so much, every single day.

I will always remember that when she smiled, it was looking at heaven. She had a beautiful smile. My last memory was me taking my newborn to Pugwash to meet Aunt Val. She didn’t even wait for the car to stop before she had the door open taking her out . They had great cuddles. RIP Val

Im gonna miss all of our long talks gma you helped me through alot and you might not have even known it i hope your fully at peace and just know not a day will go by when we dont all think of you

"Mama Bear" was an amazingly loving and funny yet passionately fiesty and fierce soul! She was always saying her 2 cents and crossing the line with jokes and rebuttles, that you could not help but admire her strength and courage in this world that is so rare☆ My children loved her like a grandma, and Our family became a merge on its own. She had gone through so many traumas with a hellraiser attitude and marched on through life raising amazing children and experiencing all the rollercoaster rides of multi provincial travels and celebrated so many joyful people and moments from it! From almost coast to coast she left her beautiful bright light mark on all of us and she would be telling us all to remember the good times and laugh about the rest! Knowing she is enjoying her souls free roam amongst the other angelic beings who have leveled up in their ascension! Fly high mama bear ur the highest now

I realize now what a great lady she was and always will be no matter where you are.rest in peace angle. Never to be forgotten. Loves always
