Steven Rae Lutz

March 11th, 2022

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Steven Rae Lutz. Steven passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 11, 2022 at the age of 58 with his wife Rhonda by his side. Steven was born on December 10, 1963 to Walter and Donna Lutz. He was raised in Regina, Saskatchewan.

Steve had quite the humorous and funny attitude towards life. Spending time with friends and family was one thing that he enjoyed the most in his life. He loved the time spent with his dog Ryder and his cat Lucy. He will be forever missed by so many hearts he touched. Steve always made many friends wherever he went or whoever he spoke with.

He spent 30 years working with the Department of Highways snow plowing. When the highways were closed, he would be the one out there making the roads safe for everyone. During the summer he would paint lines on the highways and worked painting lines at the Moose Jaw air force base.

Steve also enjoyed vacationing in the tropics and met many friends along the way. Throughout Steve’s life he enjoyed making beautiful projects of stained glass. He enjoyed going to watch space shuttles and always made the effort to bring out his telescopes to show us the outer space. During his retirement he was involved with model railroading. He really enjoyed the displays he made and sceneries he created.

Steve loved to walk everywhere. Walk in peace now, My Love.

Steve was predeceased by his father Walter Lutz in 2015. Steve is survived by his wife and partner Rhonda Bellamy; his mother Donna Lutz; his brother Wayne (Donna) Lutz; nephew Craig (Chelsey) Lutz; and niece Felicia and her son Mason.

A Celebration of Steve’s Life will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. in Theo Bill’s Restaurant and Lounge, 530 Victoria Avenue East, Regina, Saskatchewan. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan (www.alzheimer.ca)

So very shocked to hear this. Stevie was school chum, although I haven’t seen him in awhile. I used to see him out and about throughout the years. He was always kind, had a smile and big hello. We would always have a good chat, he had a great personality. Taken much to young. RIP Stevie condolences to his family

I am so very sorry to hear of Steve's passing! I used to hang out with Steve in our teenage years! He was so very kind and funny and a good friend to me. I think about those times often and have to say another little piece of my heart is broken. It was not fair to him at all for his beautiful mind to have been robbed by such a terrible disease like Alzheimer's. Thankfully he can rest now in peace and comfort. My condolences to all of his family and friends as I know there are many!

My condolences to you and your family Steve was truly a wonderful person, Rest In Peace my friend.

My deepest condolences to the Lutz family and Rhonda Steve will be miss by many who had the chance to meet him .Our thoughts and prayers go out to you all Love Geraldine, Sonny

To the family, please accept our condolences for your loss. Steve and I grew up together. A life long friendship that started when we were about 5 years old. I have so many fond memories of hanging out at their house. Walter and Donna were excellent parents. They were always welcoming to us kids. Trying right now to look back on any one great time, or funny situation to share, is impossible. There are too many, literally 100”s of them, that would make one laugh, and show Steve’s good hearted character. The boys and I were with Steve on many of those walks. Steve, may your next walk, be your best walk…

We were very sad to hear of the passing of Stevie. You are all in our thoughts and he will be missed by all that had the chance to know him Scott Bev Amy McDonald
