A special thank you to Dwayne and Ev Pow our best friends for over 55 years.

The family would like to send sincere thanks to all the caregivers in the Palliative Care Unit for their care, compassion and kindness shown to Wally and his family.

Messages:

Ronnie & family: Wishing you comfort in your time of sorrow. With our deepest sympathy, Mary & Arnold Zepick.

My sincere Condolences to all his family and friends. I had the privilege of working with Slug at Squaw Rapids back in 1962 - 63. I worked with him hauling material from Carrot River to the dam and he taught me how to drive the semi. I made a lot of trips with him and finally he had the confidence to let me go by myself. I attribute the fact that I became a good transport driver because because of Slug. He was a good man, a good friend, and he will be missed by so many of us. R.I.P. my friend

Dear Ronnie and families, We will remember the fun times, our bus trips, card games, Grey Cup parties, New Years Eves spent together, and Tuesdays and Saturdays coffee dates, and any excuse to get together, even if we had to invent something. We will cherish the memories and miss you, Wally. Joe and Dolores Grill

Our deepest condolences to the family. May the memories you hold in your hearts sustain you in this difficult time.

We are so very sorry to hear of Wally’s passing, Ronnie. Sending our deepest condolences to you & the family. I have such fond recollections of the last time I saw Wally in October 2015 when Lois & I drove to Sask to visit all you cousins & enjoy a trip down her memory lane. Your hospitality was so appreciated & mom was delighted to see her SK family again & show me all the places in Regina that she held so dearly in her heart. I like to think that these 2 cousins are reunited once more & enjoying a good chuckle together. With love & sympathy, Jody & Doug, Winnipeg.

Our condolences Ronnie. He will be missed. We had a lot of good chats and a few "Laughs" at the Pats games and Victoria square mall. He looked like a king sitting is his chair at the mall. Just about everyone knew him as they walked by and stopped for a chat. He was a character as he made everyone laugh. Rest in peace Slugger.
