Darlene Mae Wilson
March 29th, 2022
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dearly departed Darlene Mae Wilson on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at the age of 66 years. She was a wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunty and friend.
Darlene was predeceased by her parents Peter and Adeline Desjarlais; her siblings Stan, Richard, Robert, Joseph and Jean. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 46 years Sherman; children Peter (Caroline) Wilson and Samantha (Darren) Wilson; grandchildren Miles Wilson, Nick Colvin, Nevaeh Wilson, Cruz Raiwet and Ryder Wilson-Raiwet; her siblings Shirley Davis, Marilyn Munday, Patsy Molleken and Melvin Desjarlais; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Darlene was born on March 22, 1956 to her parents Peter and Adeline Desjarlais in Regina, Saskatchewan. She was the 9th of 10 children and was raised in Regina. At the age of 18, Darlene met Sherman and they fell in love and decided they needed to be together forever. They were married in North Dakota, United States on November 22, 1975. While in North Dakota they started their family and welcomed a handsome baby boy Peter. They moved to Texas, United States and soon after welcomed their second beautiful child Samantha. Years later they moved back to Regina, where they would reside and raise their family.
Darlene had a huge loving heart. She was loved by everyone she met and she always kept a special place in her heart for her family and close friends. She had a “don't sweat the small stuff” mentality and a carefree nature. She was always there when someone needed her and she was always there for a good chat. Everyone loved her and could feel the love she had for them.
We would like to give a special thank you to Darlene’s best friend Della Brady.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 1021 McCarthy Boulevard North, Regina, Saskatchewan. Livestream of the Funeral Service can be viewed at: https://m.facebook.com/samantha.wilsonraiwet?tsid=0.7793522686734298&source=result
