Jane Gilchrist

With sadness we announce that Jane Gilchrist left us this past Sunday, February 26, 2023.   

Janie boarded her cloud of love drifting off to dreamland, joining her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and all the angels in Heaven, with her daughter Melodie and best friend at her side. Janie was predeceased by her parents Neal Drew and Viola Gilchrist (nee Olson).

Left to mourn are sisters Mary (Willy) British Columbia and Della (Dave) Regina, SK. Daughters Tammy Missal, Calgary, AB, Melodie Vandale, Airdrie, AB, Courtney Latini (Mark), Belton, Missouri, grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Jane was born in Maple Creek, SK then moved to Moose Jaw and Strasbourg completing her education in Regina then worked for the City of Regina, Dominion Bridge. the Provincial Government, and the last 17 years as Executive Secretary, Personnel Department at Ipsco (now Evraz). 

Jane loved music - blues and country. She loved to dance (now with the angels). Her favourite sport teams were the Kansas City Chiefs, the Saskatchewan Roughriders, Nascar, and the Indy 500.

She enjoyed travelling around North America, loved animals and her horse as a young girl. Jane was loved and respected by all who new her. The void with her departure leaves us all with a memory that will never be forgotten.

JANIE, the opening wide of your beautiful clear eyes as your way of saying goodbye at your final moment will be cherished forever. Till we meet again, so long JANIE and GOD BLESS.
