It's rare to have a cousin who is 9 years older than you take the time out of their life to not only get to know you but to help shape you into a good person. But that's just who Alicia was. Alicia was an incredibly kind, selfless, outgoing, funny, and thoughtful person. She had so many friends and was quite the social butterfly. She was always up for anything, and open to try new things and experiences. She had a zest for travel and a knack for photography. She was a hell of a trivia player and had an incredible amount of music, pop culture, and historical knowledge. She was an amazing cousin, and always made time for her family. She loved baby snuggles and her face would light up when she held newborns. Something she shared with our grandma. She loved her nephews so much, and would do anything for them. And she would always be there and show up for her friends and family. I can't make sense of what has happened to her. I don't know that it will ever make sense. Sometimes bad stuff happens to good people, and you can't find anyone better than Alicia. Rest in peace my dear cousin. You are so loved, and will be so missed. My thoughts go out to my amazing aunt and uncle, cousins, and family who are all hurting at this time.
