Donald Wilfred Jeworski
October 10th, 2023
It is with broken hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our Husband/Dad/Grandpa/Great Grandpa who left us Tuesday, October 10,2023.
Don was predeceased by his parents William and Laura Jeworski. He is survived by Irma, his wife of 51 years; Son Mark (Penny) Jeworski; Daughters Melanie Jeworski (Robert Chorneyko), April (Derek) Dolha, Crystal Jeworski (Mike Bradley); Grandchildren: Mackenzie, Layne, Kaleb, Lucas, Danica, Briana, Michael, Noah, Lyndon, Dylan, Hayley, Avery, Cashton and Great Grandson Oliver.
Don was a humble man with a sense of humour second to none. Don was born in Regina, Sk. July 5, 1953. He lived on the family farm south of Serath, Sk. until the age of five when the family moved to Serath. Don grew up helping run the family owned local store. Don attended school is Serath until grade eight then continued his schooling in Raymore, Sk. until he graduated. He was active throughout highschool on the curling and football teams. Don also played on Serath’s local softball team. Don met Irma Focht in high school and they were married shortly after graduating on May 20, 1972. They welcomed their four children in the years to follow. Don loved his family and being a good Husband and Dad is what he did the best. He worked tirelessly to provide for his family and made many sacrifices to ensure everyone had what they needed.
Don had a very diverse career. He spent a short time working for SGI in Regina and Case IH in Raymore. He eventually settled into his thirty-one year career in the Credit Union system. Starting as a Teller and diligently working his way up to Branch/Ag Manager and held General Manager positions until his retirement in 2007 for the “first time”. In 2008 Don went back to work doing contract work for the Credit Union and finally in 2015 he decided to retire for the “second time” permanently.
Don had many other interests aside from his family and career. He spent sometime exploring politics and was elected the NDP candidate for Last Mountain Touchwood constituency. Don also served as Mayor of Cupar,Sk. and was alderman on Cupar town council for five years. He also sat on the Cupar Volunteer Ambulance and Co-op boards. Don remained active in every community he belonged to. Don will be deeply missed by his family and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church at 1:00 PM, on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, in Southey, SK.
In lieu of flowers please feel free to make a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Parkinson Canada in honour of Don.

I met Don at SGIO in about 1972. He was a jokster anf a great guy ti work with. Our paths crossed a few time as I stayed with SGI for 37 years. My condolences to the family.
I am so saddened by the loss of Don. Brian and I considered Don and Irma like family, very special to us, and our favorite travelling companions. His loss leaves a huge hole in my heart, and I know if Brian were still with us, he'd be crushed at the loss of his friend since grade one. It's so hard to believe they are both gone within three months of each other. I hope they are together, discussing the state of politics, and causing good trouble.
In the days and weeks that follow Perhaps you’ll often find That even long-lost memories Will slip into your mind, And suddenly your loved one Won’t seem so far from you… You’ll think of touching stories, The things you used to do, And favorite family moments In which you all took part – These souvenirs of happy times Will keep them close at heart. Deepest Sympathy.
Our sympathy to you and your family on Don’s untimely death .Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.A life well lived.

To Don's family. Please accept my deepest sympathy on the sad news of Don's recent passing. I am so sorry for your loss Irma . I remember with a smile our trip together to the Dominican Republic . it rained for days thank goodness we had you both for company . I used to see Don at the nursing home always friendly a smile on his face . A big shock as heard he was doing well after surgery . Life is so unfair sometimes .Louise Gullage
We were very sad to only recently learn of Don's passing. I had the great pleasure of serving on Cupar Town Council with Don. Don worked hard for the town of Cupar and went beyond the minimum requirements of the position. While Don had strong views he never was bitter towards others who didn't agree with him. Don was a mentor and eagerly shared information with others. Ed Lehman Regina, Sk.
