Gordie Floyd McMurdo
June 7th, 2023
It is with very heavy hearts the family of Gordie McMurdo is announcing his passing. Gordie is predeceased by his mother Adrienne. Surviving him, is his father, Gordon Sr, Wife Lana, Daughter Baily (Cory), Son Riley, Grandchildren Leo and Rory and his brother Greg (Val) and family.
Gordie was a personable person who made friends easily wherever he went in life but most importantly he was a true family man. He loved his wife whom he met at just 16 years old very dearly. It was love at first sight and they spent 41 beautiful years together. It was most definite that they were soul mates. Gordie enjoyed camping and fishing, working as a tree trimmer on the shelter belts and pipe insulating with local 119, playing darts cards and pool, history, and music, playing and watching hockey and football, the open road and his Harley, his pet cats, and dogs, and most importantly doing all of that with his family and friends. He had a knack for remembering dates and phone numbers and was always up for a good story, laugh and a double double from Tim Hortons. His door was always open, and anyone would agree he really did have a heart of gold. Gordie will be greatly missed by many.
A viewing will be held at 1170 Winnipeg St from 130pm to 3pm and a Celebration of Life to follow from 3pm onward at 110 Cornwall st North on Tuesday June 13th.
