Peter Olynick

On Monday, January 16, 2023 Peter (Nighthawk) Olynick passed away suddenly at the age of 69. Peter was born in Russell, Manitoba. He was a master small appliance technician, jack of all trades and family chef. His Christmas dinners were epic. He had a passion for computers. His joy was decorating and orchestrating the Christmas display on their home. He loved all sports especially curling, hockey and football. His favorite saying was GO RANGERS and GO ESKS.
Peter is remembered by his loving family Rose Mock, Larry (Pat), Brian (Brenda), Albert (Debbie), Dan (Laurinda), Pat, Judy and many nieces and nephews. Peter was predeceased by his Mom and Dad Pauline and Matt; his brothers Paul, Ron and Tony; his sisters Adeline and Sonia; and brother-in-law Gord Mock.
Private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Our sincere condolences to the Olynick family. We will truly miss Peter and his expertise at fixing my computer. He was always so happy when we picked apples off of Tony's tree (April's) and brought them to him, a delicious pie was always rewarded. Those gorgeous lights will be missed by all.
My deepest sympathies to the Olynick family on the passing of Peter. I totally enjoyed looking across the street at all his Christmas lights. He also fixed my vacuum cleaner a couple of times. May he rest in peace.
