Albert Henri Prenevost

We are sad to announce the sudden passing of Albert Prenevost at the age of 85 on December 30, 2023.

Albert passed peacefully with his loving wife Joyce and daughter Henriette by his side, after a short stay in the Hospital in Regina, SK.

Albert was born on January 26, 1938, to Jospeh and Yvonne Prenevost on this family farm in Pre ST.-Marie, SK.

Albert is predeceased by his oldest daughter Carol, Parents; Jospeh and Yvonne, brothers; George, John, Ernie, Antoine, Maurice, and his sister Rita.

Left to mourn his loss, is his wife, Joyce Prenevost, daughter Henriette (Kelly), grandchildren; Kayla (Justin) and Rielly (Callie), his great grandchildren; Jacob and Logan, brothers; Henry (Cheryl), Wilfred (Dorthy), Raymond, William, and Louie (Jewel), along with his sisters; Clara, Marie (Woodworth), Lucille, Fern (Lloyd), Theresa, Irene and Dorille. Sister-in-law: Doreen Prenevost was married to Antonie AKA Tony, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Albert grew up on his family farm, with a family that size, I’m sure there were a lot of shenanigans.

Albert met Joyce in Eldersley, SK, and they married in Tisdale, SK on October 8, 1966. Later, Joyce’s sister Doreen, met Albert’s brother Antonie and the two married in Thompson, MB, October 9, 1976. Albert and Joyce stayed in Tisdale for a couple years. They moved and lived in Flin Flon, MB and Thompson, MB for a few years and had a couple of kids (Carol & Henriette) and landed in Carman, MB, where they resided for 47 years. They then moved to Regina in Fall of 2022 to be closer to family.

Albert was a heavy-duty mechanic at Southwest Transfer and after retiring, he worked as a mechanic for a few different farms around Carman.

Albert enjoyed camping and the outdoors and seeing new places. His other hobbies included traveling around to dances and evenings with friends playing cards.

Albert will be truly missed by all that knew him. Those we love don’t go away; they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near. Still loved, still missed and very dear.

No service will be held at this time. In Lieu of flowers, please kindly donate to the Palliative Care Unit at the Pasqua Hospital.
