I first met Del as a junior curler in the learn to curl program which Del facilitated. To say Del was instrumental in developing me as a curler would be an understatement. Del was a teacher that shared the technical side of the sport but also went out of us way to make sure that we participated, had fun and respected our opponent. It was Del who would drive us in his T Bird to towns like Kronau, Lajord and Davin to ensure that we played, and coached us on the details of the game. He went out of his way to make sure that as an up-and-coming junior team we received an invitation to the prestigious Fox Valley invitational. I am thankful for Del because he cared, went beyond what any other coach I have ever had did and made the sport so much fun. Thanks Del and God Bless
Our deepest condolences on your loss. May you know God’s strength and comfort in the coming days.

In early 1973, I was 12 years old. My Grade 7 class from Lakeview School went to the Wascana Winter Club for curling lessons in preparation for Regina hosting the 1973 Silver Broom that year. "Mr. Ludvigsen" was our curling instructor . He not only made that time fun, but instilled in me, a love of curling that has carried me through my life so far. He told us that we could come back to the club anytime we wanted after school to practice. Well, Jimmy Turner, Jeff Wilson and Pat Struthers and I took him up on that offer. We had great times curling there as young kids. When the Wascana Winter Club was torn down, I was sad in my heart for the good times Mr. Ludvigsen had provided for us. I often reflect on that time, and think of what a wonderful man Mr. Ludvigsen was. My condolences to you all. I know he will be missed. Bev Neufeld
When we enrolled our sons in The Leader Post Tennis Lessons we met Del Ludvigsen. Not only did they continue on to become tennis coaches but he also had the ability to involve parents in the creating of the Sundown Optimist Junior Tennis Club. He also convinced us that the best place to watch our son do track was while officiating in track events. He was a force of nature. He spent countless hours volunteering and touched the lives of many young people. Thank you Del for all your contributions to youth sports in our city.
Sincere condolences to the Family. Del would bring the young Regina curlers out to the curling rinks in the surrounding towns for experience and competition, and to his credit many of them became successful adult curlers. I had many great conversations with him about curling and other sports in the past. Enjoy your good memories of a great guy!
I remember Del from all kinds of sporting events throughout my school years. Great mentor, great coach, awesome guy. Condolences are with all of the family at this difficult time. Thanks for all the amazing memories Del. Rest in Peace
I too was a rink rat at the Wascana Winter Club. Del's generous smile and genuine enthusiasm for curling stuck with me for life. A heartfelt thank you, Mr. Ludvigsen ♡
