Geri also served the United Church of Canada at the regional and national levels supporting many students while they studied for ministry.  After moving to Regina, she became a member of Sunset United Church where she was most proud that she was able to serve on their Affirming Committee.

Geri was an active and skilled camper and hiker with regular summer excursions to Good Spirit Provincial Park when the family was young. She was a great cook, baker, seamstress, and traveller taking  trips to Montreal for Expo 67 to Africa in 1970 and an extended family holiday in Europe in 1975 were among her travel highlights.
