Ronald Keith Milne

August 23rd, 2024

Ronald Keith Milne died at his home on August 23, 2024 after a long battle with cancer and other bodily insults. Ron was born February 26, 1954 in Regina to Robert and Irene Milne. From a young age, Ron loved automobiles. He owned his first car before he was 5, and spent glorious hours peddling around his neighbourhood. As an adolescent, he owned and happily repaired many old cars, including at one time a Corvette. As an adult, his vehicle-love was extended to include computers, which provided both his employment (44 years with Regina Motor Products) as well as a great deal of pleasure.

Although shy and private, Ron spent his life in service to others, both at his work and in his family, often demonstrating his considerable affection practically. He was enormously generous, readily sharing his knowledge, skills, time, and possessions. As a teenager he literally gave the shirt off his back to his siblings when they asked for it, and as an adult he often gave family members and co-workers the computers off his desk. In addition to driving, computing, and helping others, he also enjoyed music, reading, movies, and the natural world.

Ron was predeceased by his mother Irene Milne (Seaborn) in 1961, his stepmother, Laurine Milne (Avanzino) in 2014, and his father Bob Milne in 2017. He is survived and fondly remembered by his sister Katherine Arbuthnott, brother David Milne, brother-in-law Dennis Arbuthnott, sister-in-law Shelley Bechtold-Milne, nephews Chris, Shane, and Devin Arbuthnott; Dylan, Austin, and Zachariah Milne, and niece Tasha Bechtold-Walton.

Messages:

To Ron's family, we r so sorry for your loss. Ron was just the sweetest guy, so gentle and quiet, but with a twinkle in his eyes that told you still waters run deep. Our thoughts are with you all as you grieve for your loss. I am going to think of him driving one of his cars, healthy and happy, on the streets paved with gold! Jim and Isabelle Milne
