Stacey Louise Richardson

July 26th, 2024

It is with great sadness that the family of Stacey Louise Richardson announce her sudden passing on Friday, July 26th, 2024, in Regina, aged 44 years old.

Stacey will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Britney (Reece) Richardson, sisters Debbie (Graeme) Spearman and Marcia Andrew, brothers Darren (Karen) Richardson and Dana (Fiona) Andrew, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Stacey will also be dearly missed by her beloved Brian and long-time friend Sara. She was predeceased by her parents James (Jim/JR) and Wendy Richardson.

Stacey was born in Regina on April 25th, 1980. She attended Robert Usher Collegiate and graduated in 1998. Stacey dedicated her working life to helping others, especially the elderly and those with special needs. For several years she owned and ran her own care home and was a full-time caregiver to four individuals with diverse abilities.

Stacey's life reached a new level of fulfilment in 2000 when she became mom to Britney. They shared an undeniable deep bond. Not just mother and daughter but also best friends. She was also pet mom to her two cherished tortoises, Zeus and Athena.

Stacey embraced life to the fullest. She was always the first to be involved in a family gathering or a planned trip. She was without a doubt the heart and soul of any occasion with her carefree, bubbly and playful personality. She enjoyed bonfires, holiday festivities, shopping sprees, movies, and being around water. Singing along to music, especially 80's and 90's hits, as well as songs by Nickleback and Taylor Swift, was one of her favourite pastimes.

Stacey's zest for life, laughter, humour, fun, and her joy and excitement for the smallest of things will always be remembered. Her family and loved ones will feel her loss forever. We love and miss you!  xoxo

Goodbye, Goodbye, Goodbye. You were bigger than the whole sky. You were more than just a short time.

So many hearts broke on July 26th, mine included. Life is so cruel to have taken you far too young. If strength of character and courage had been enough to save you, then you would still be with us. Trying to imagine our family without you here is unimaginable. Family occasions, game nights, road trips, and New Year's Eve will never be the same again. I want to thank you for being more like a sister than a sister-in-law and for bringing so much joy, fun, and laughter to my life. I am going to miss you so very much, and I will forever treasure all the wonderful memories I have of you. Another piece of my heart is in heaven. Until we take our next road trip together. Sleep tight ~ I love you, Stacey. xXx
