Edward Foster White
November 24th, 2024
Edward Foster White of Regina passed away on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2024. He leaves behind his wife, Cindy (Notenboom) White, our children, Craig White (partner, Kas) and Julia (husband, Bret) Haacke, grandsons (Kai, Ace), his sister, Mae Jarrett, as well as numerous other family members and friends worldwide. Edward is reunited with his father, Zephaniah, his mother, Almina, his brothers: Ruel, Gladstone, Dennis, Beresford, and his sister, Claire.
Edward loved gardening, playing dominoes, badminton, watching our pickney’s sport competitions, and travelling. Ed had a good sense of humour and easily made friends. Ed enjoyed his work as an Accountant and talking with clients and he never actually got to experience retirement. Ed suffered a hemorrhagic stroke in February of 2021 and entered Longterm care. The last three years and nine month journey ended when Ed passed away peacefully in the Pasqua Hospital; listening and hand dancing with his wife, Cindy, to one of their favourite Bob Marley tunes, Three Little Birds, before he drew his last breath. We thank all the healthcare workers who cared for Ed; but we want to give a special thank you to the staff and care team at BrightWater Senior Living, who gave Ed such excellent care and treated him like family. Ed was a charmer and won the hearts of care workers and fellow BrightWater residents alike.
A Celebration of Edward’s Life is taking place at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, in Regina (935 McCarthy Blvd), on December 5, 2024, at 1:00 pm followed by a reception in the lower level of the church.
I will miss Ed calling me Yankee Di even though I lived in south Texas. I remember Ed at the Caribbean Club, my second home with Cindy. I remember Ed’s pleasure when Obama was elected. So many memories, so many laughs, so many good times. I believe you are up there walking again Ed. I miss our talks on the phone. My condolences to Cindy and family.
