Nellie Pearl Wilde
January 18th, 2024
It’s with sad hearts we announce the passing of Nellie Pearl Wilde (Shuflita) at age 84. Nellie leaves to mourn her husband Edwin, a daughter Gayle (Brad) and two grandchildren, Kourtney (Mac) and Branden, as well as two great grandchildren Quinn and Reid. Her family and friends were very important to her.
Nellie was born in Fenwood Saskatchewan and lived on a farm with her parents Pearl and Joseph Shuflita and her five siblings. She moved to Regina and met and married Edwin in August of 1960. Nellie worked at the Grey Nun’s hospital and later for govt of highways where she retired. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and helping at their school events. She enjoyed dancing, knitting and cooking, and coffee visits with her friends . She also liked to volunteer and always went to church every week which gave her comfort. Nellie was a kind and caring person to all she knew. She loved the song “You are my sunshine” and she was always our SUNSHINE ♥

Dear cousin sorry to hear of Nellies passing. Prayers for you and the family
I am so sorry for your loss. Nellie was such a good friend to my mom and dad (Joe & Mary Bernhardt). She was a constant in my life since I was a little girl. Soft spoken, kind and a sweet laugh. Thinking of you all and sending love.
Our condolences to Ed , Gayle and family. Sherry and Trevor Kraft
Learned today that Nellie passed away-my condolences to Ed Gayle Brad & family. I recruited Nellie and was her supervisor with the Department of Highways. She truly was an exceptional employee and a pleasure to know and work with. We reconnected in Long Term Care and also with Joey Bernhardt who attended Gelowitz country school as I did. Rest in peace Nellie.
