Rosalind "Linda" Derksen
July 28th, 2012
So sadly and suddenly, our beloved Mother, Oma, Sister and Friend, succumbed to cancer and entered into the glory of heaven where "God will wipe away every tear from their eyes and death shall be no more, neither shall there be sorrow or mourning nor grief nor pain any more."
Predeceased by her husband of 43 years Henry, in 2002 and precious eldest son James in 1998, she is survived by her devoted sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffrey (LaDonna), Brian (Rosalind) and cherished grandchildren, Steven, Bria, Allison and Danae.
A memorial service will be held in her honour at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, August 8th, at South Delta Baptist Church, 1988 56th Street, Tsawwassen, BC.
You are invited to leave a personal message of condolence for the family.
Messages:
There are no words to truly express our sadness on hearing about the passing of your lovely Mom and Oma. We will miss her presence on the soccer pitch. She was a wonderful supporter of Danae and the whole team and set an example for all grandparents. We hope you take comfort now in your memories of your Mom and Oma and all your treasured times spent together. I am sorry we were unable to attend today, but our thoughts and prayers were with you. In Deepest Sympathy, Michelle & Emma Leese
So sorry to hear of Gramma Derksen's passing. Though we only knew her briefly, it was always enjoyable to chat with her at the pitch and to hear her insights of Coach Jeff. Our heartfelt condolences to the entire Derksen clan and friends. God Bless Dave Jan & Aleisha Those we love remain with us For love itself lives on, And cherished memories never fade Because a loved one's gone. Jeff and Brian. I'd like to send my condolences to you and your family. My memories of your Mom are around playing at your house when we were kids and also around soccer. Your Mom made every game. Rain or shine. I'm sure she brought more than her share of the oranges too. She was always very kind to me and made me feel welcome in her home. My thoughts are with all the Derksens at this time. Your friend John Racich
All though we were friends on a Facebook for a short time. I could feel the love through the words I saw on the screen. I am sadden by the lose of Rosalind. I don't question God's reasons. For I know all things work together for the good of God. God Bless You Rosalind.

Such sad news that Rosalind Derksen has passed away. We will miss her great support and presence at the many soccer games she attended. She was so enthusiastic about her family and proud of her grandchildren accomplishments. Words cannot even begin to express our sorrow. Rosalind may have left this Earth, but she will never be gone from your hearts. "Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal."
My condolences to Rosalind's family, I will miss our chats about music and Mexico :) She was a fun and unique lady....she is dancing with the angels now -xo Jessica
Jeff and family, we were so surprised and sorry to see your mom had passed away. No time is a good time for this to happen. The best thing to do is remember the fun times and joy you had with Mom. Unfortunately we will be away for the memorial service but send our condolences and prayers to you
Dear Jeff, LaDonna, Bria & Danae, We were so sorry to hear about your Mom/Grandma's passing. We know she was important in your lives and will be missed greatly. Here is a poem that we hope offers you some comfort - I Do Believe - A loved one that has finished their life on earth is not dead, their life has just began. They are still with us in spirt. That you must believe. Thinking of you, Corinne, Madison & Kennedy
